Virgin Holidays signs Galileo deal
Virgin Holidays has signed a new agreement for use of the Galileo GDS.
The multi-year pact with Galileo parent Travelport GDS will give the operator’s reservations staff access to the GDS’s published fares as well as private fares available through sister company, Virgin Atlantic.
Virgin Holidays head of aviation, Graham Townsley said: “We pride ourselves on the exemplary service we offer our customers and part of this is being able to offer them the extensive range of flight options bookable through the Galileo GDS.”
Travelport general manager UK and Ireland Jérôme Moisan said: “Virgin Holidays is widely acknowledged as a highly innovative and customer focused tour operator and we are delighted to be signing this new agreement with them.
“Their decision to work with us to access our technology, content and support services is evidence of the strength of both our GDS offering and the UK account team.”
