European airline Volotea will launch flights from Southampton in summer 2016, its first route from the UK.
It will operate twice weekly flights, on Wednesday and Saturday, between Southampton and Palma, Majorca, from May 29.
Dave Lees, managing director of Southampton Airport, said: "We are delighted to be the first UK airport that Volotea will provide scheduled services to.
“The flights to Palma are excellent news for people looking for independent holidays, those with second homes in Majorca, and anyone joining yachts or cruise ships in the Mediterranean.”
