Universal Orlando’s upcoming Volcano Bay aqua park will make use of wearable tech, enabling guests to avoid long lines.
The TapuTapu wristband will let guests ‘virtually wait in line while they play in other areas of the park,’ Universal said.
Once it is their located time, the tech will send an alert.
The wristband also offers an interactive ‘tap to play’ feature allowing guests to direct special functions individually around the park.
For example the wristband can control water spurting out of whales or turn on water cannons along the Kopiko Wai Winding River ride.
The standout attraction is the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, a trackless water coaster that travels through the park’s 200-feet high Krakatau volcano.
Universal also said tickets for Volcano Bay will go on open sale from November 15.
