What’s the future of high street travel agents? Worldspan joins the debate
Worldspan’s UK and Ireland regional manager Brian Staunton is the latest spesker to be confirmed for this week’s TravelMole Travel Industry Question Time.
He joins Mintel senior travel analyst Richard Cope, Norwegian Cruise Line UK general manager Francis Riley, Advantage Travel Centres managing director John McEwan and Hotels4u.com sales and marketing director John Harding on Thursday to debate the future of high street travel agents.
The Question Time follows the Court of Appeal decision which means that agents and operators will not be required to obtain ATOLS.
But with operators led by TUI poised to hugely increase their dynamic packaging capabilities following the ruling, agents will face even more competition.
And with more customers booking online, how should high street agents respond? Just who is leading the fight in the retail revolution?
The discussion will be be moderated by travel industry journalist and commentator Jeremy Skidmore.
Question Time will be held on November 16 between 16.30-18.30 at the London Hilton Canary Wharf in association with Dubai and Hilton.
