Wimbledon players will be forced to stay at London hotels

Upscale home owners in southwest London will miss out on their usual big pay day accommodating the world’s top tennis stars. Wimbledon players will likely have to stay at designated hotels for this year’s championships even though it takes place after lockdown measures are expected to be eased.
Wimbledon starts on 29 June. Players usually stay in rented houses near the All England Club but organisers are looking at using designated central London hotels which is unlikely to go down well with players.
An All England Club spokesperson said: "There will be official hotels for all players, their support teams and key groups such as officials, which will be a mandatory requirement for entry into this year’s championships."
