World cruise passengers vote for ‘Immersive Africa’ itinerary
The votes are in and the new amended itinerary for Royal Caribbean’s world cruise has been chosen.
Passengers on Serenade of the Seas were recently asked to vote on two options for an adjusted itinerary from Asia to Europe.
The cruise line was forced to reroute the world cruise due to the ongoing conflict in the Red Sea.
The ‘Immersive Africa’ option was chosen which will call at the Seychelles, several southern and west Africa ports and on to the Canary Islands.
The other option was for fewer stops in Africa but more in-depth exploration of the Greek Islands.
“The new segment will take place between May and June 2024 and visit destinations such as Madagascar, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa and more,” a cruise line spokesperson said.
The ship is currently in the South Pacific headed to Australia and New Zealand.
It will also visit numerous stops in continental Asia as planned, like the Philippines, China and Hong Kong.
