77 reported dead in Iran plane crash

A passenger plan with more than 100 people on board has crashed in north-western Iran.

The IranAir Boeing 727 was flying from Tehran to the city Orumiyeh, but crashed just before it reached its destination.

Iran’s media is reporting that at least 77 people have been killed and other injured.

Rescue efforts were hampered by snow and darkness.
