ABTA to “refocus” on member services
ABTA has undergone a management shake-up after head of policy and member services Stephen Alcock quit the association.
His resignation means that the six staff dealing with member services will now report to head of corporate affairs Keith Betton.
Mr Alcock will not be replaced, so Dennis Ashby, manager of the members’ information bureau, and one of his team will also report to Mr Betton.
Two staff working on policy issues will report to chief executive Ian Reynolds.
The changes will result in member services manager Victoria Poland overseeing a project which will see each ABTA member having an appointed staff contact within the members services team and a direct line for assistance.
Mr Reynolds said ABTA had know for some time that Mr Alcock had wanted to stand down this year.
He added: “With the start of a new year we are going to refocus to introduce a greater level of member contact. Keith Betton will manage the members services department and Victoria Poland will drive the project that will se ABTA proactively calling members to ensure they are getting the most from their membership.”
