Accor Handwritten Collection reaches 50 hotels worldwide

Accor‘s Handwritten Collection has reached a major milestone with the opening of its 50th hotel, less than three years after the brand launched in 2023. The collection now spans 20 countries, with more than 50 additional hotels in the development pipeline as Accor continues to expand its portfolio of independently operated lifestyle properties.

Created for travelers seeking authentic, locally inspired experiences, Handwritten Collection brings together hotels that retain their own identity while benefiting from Accor’s global distribution, loyalty and commercial platform. Rather than adopting a standardized concept, each property reflects the personality of its owners and the culture of its destination.

Brand’s rapid international growth

Jean-Yves Minet, Global Brand President, Midscale & Economy at Accor, said the success reflects growing demand for hotels that deliver genuine local experiences: “Handwritten Collection celebrates individuality in hospitality and the power of human connection. Reaching 50 hotels shows travelers increasingly value stays that feel personal, authentic and rooted in local stories.

The brand has also become an attractive option for independent hotel owners looking to maintain their property’s identity while gaining access to Accor’s worldwide sales, marketing and technology platforms.

Camil Yazbeck, Global Chief Development Officer, Premium, Midscale & Economy at Accor, said the development pipeline demonstrates strong confidence from hotel owners around the world.

More than 50 additional Handwritten Collection hotels are already under development, with many more projects currently under negotiation. Owners benefit from Accor’s global support across distribution, loyalty, technology, sustainability, procurement, design and operational services while preserving the unique character of their hotels.

One of the most anticipated future additions will be Treasure Island TI Las Vegas – Handwritten Collection, which will become the brand’s second U.S. property and its first in Las Vegas.
