Adventure Travel Show announces trade networking event

Friday, 15 Nov, 2024 0

In the lead-up to the Adventure Travel Show (ATS) organiser Living Media Events, has partnered with The Adventure Connection to launch a ground-breaking trade-only networking event.

Entitled: ‘Integrating the SDGs into Travel’ it takes place on Friday 10 January from 4pm until 8pm at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.

It is held just prior to the consumer show which kicks off that weekend.

This brand new networking event invites travel industry professionals to consider how the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be integrated across all areas of tourism.

Attendees will have the chance to share best practice, network with trade associations, and hear from industry leaders during presentations and panel discussions.

It features experts including Mark Wright (The Adventure Connection), David Guthrie (A Tent With A View) and Charlie Cotton (eCollective).

David Guthrie said: “We are excited to be involved. With many of the world’s most exciting destinations also being the most vulnerable, the travel industry is uniquely positioned to bring the SDGs to life.”

The Adventure Travel Show is the UK’s only event dedicated to adventure travel.

It connects exhibitors with their target audience during peak booking season.

Over75 organisations are confirmed to exhibit — such as Exodus Travel, Latin Routes, Newfoundland Tourism Board, The Bucket List Company, Belize Tourism, Albatros Expeditions, Madeira – Turismo de Portugal and more.

The 2025 edition is set to be the largest in the show’s 25-year history.

The HX Adventure Travel Theatre, sponsored by HX Hurtigruten Expeditions, will host a line-up of travellers and adventurers sharing stories and expert advice on global journeys.

Speakers include Benedict Allen, Dwayne Fields, Phoebe Smith, Andrew Benfield, Emma Thomson, the Turner Twins, Jane Wilson-Howarth, James Glancy and more.

Katie Leigh of HX Hurtigruten Expeditions said, “We are thrilled to partner with the Show this year – it’s always such a vibrant and valuable event for the entire industry.”

Complimentary trade passes are also now available for travel agents, tour operators and tourist boards to attend via this link
