Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises have relaunched their 3D agent training programme.
As part of the e-learning Cruising for Excellence initiative, agents can explore ships and develop knowledge on key selling points with the technology that transports them virtually onboard.
The programme was first introduced in 2006 and has trained more than 20,000 travel agents – with half of them attaining the highest tier of the programme.
Now the programme will be rolled out in 13 different languages to help agents internationally sell cruises more effectively.
Said trade training manager, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises Michelle Russell: “Our statistics show again and again that agents who stay up to date with all the Cruising for Excellence training modules sell the most cruises.
“Being able to experience highlights such as Royal Caribbean International’s Allure of the Seas’ real outdoor park, or the first-class restaurants onboard Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice-class of ships means that agents can truly share their cruise ship knowledge with confidence.”
