Agents can now directional sell with Dolphin FlightScanner
Dolphin Dynamics has introduced new functionality to its Dolphin FlightScanner tool that allows directional selling.
The new supplier preferencing option can be applied across all the supported sales channels, including the web or via a GDS.
It allows agents to control the order in which flight search results are displayed to their consultants.
It is designed to help agents meet contracted volume deals and commercial incentives targets.
A recent survey of Triton members revealed that if members had all backed the preferred suppliers, their profitability would have increased by 50%.
The technology works across all data sources, including low cost airlines, GDS and charter flights.
It also allows seasonal directional selling, allowing agents to change the supplier ranking to accommodate special offers or distressed inventory.
The same concept is also being incorporated into the Dolphin TravelScanner system, which handles non-air products.
