Agoda teams up with Atome for buy now, pay later bookings
Asia based OTA Agoda has inked a regional partnership with buy now, pay later platform Atome.
It will offer Agoda customers flexible instalment options for accommodation bookings, starting in Singapore and Malaysia.
In 2021, it will expand to eight other markets, including Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Customers can pay for their bookings in three zero interest payments with no additional fees.
The Atome payment option comes up at check out on agoda.com or the Agoda mobile app.
The platform offers about 34,000 properties across all price segments.
"The launch of instalment payments with Atome will enable Singaporean and Malaysian travellers who might have previously found it inconvenient to pay for their booking in one lump sum to spread the costs over multiple payments, without incurring additional costs," said Agoda Vice President of Commercial Finance, Darren Makarem.
