Air Astana cutting back flights to Istanbul
Kazakhstan carrier Air Astana announced it is reducing the number of flights it operates to Istanbul.
It serves the Turkish city from three gateways.
It will now fly to Istanbul four times weekly from Almaty and twice-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays from capital Nur-Sultan.
It will also operate one flight a week on Fridays, from Atyrau.
Air Astana customers impacted by the schedule changes may rebook for future dates free of charge, or request a full refund, the airline said.
The flag carrier recently announced it will begin flying to the Maldives starting next month.
It will begin nonstop flights to the Maldives from its Almaty hub starting 5 December on new Airbus A321LR aircraft.
