Air Canada launches non-stop Heathrow-Edmonton flights
Air Canada today will launch the only non-stop flights between London Heathrow and Edmonton on October 31.
The service will initially operate three times weekly – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays – building up to daily service beginning April 1.
The service will make the Jasper region even more accessible for British skiers this winter.
Air Canada flight AC899 will leave Heathrow at 12:35, arriving in Edmonton at 14:30. The return flight to the UK, flight AC898, departs Edmonton at 18:35 (20:25 departure time on Tuesdays), arriving at Heathrow at 10:10.
The flights are timed to ensure convenient connections at Heathrow with bmi, SAS and its other Star Alliance partners.
Air Canada will operate the new route using 212-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, offering a choice of Executive First and Economy service.
The Boeing 767 fleet is being refurbished to feature Air Canada’s new personal entertainment system with 8.9-inch wide digital in-seat monitors and touch-screen controls offering audio and video on demand programming at every seat.
Other features will include Air Canada’s new lie-flat beds in Executive First, as well as new Economy seating and cabin design with in-seat power within reach of every customer.
