Air France-KLM has raised €467 million by selling off half its stake in Amadeus.
Industry analysts believe the airline wants to use the money to boost its finances and help deal with rising fuel costs and a competitive short-haul market.
Air France said it wanted to take advantage of the recent rise in Amadeus’s stock price, up 14% from three months ago.
It still controls 7.73% of the company, which is similar to the stakes also held by Lufthansa and Iberia.
