Air India rolls out inflight Wi-Fi
Air India is the first carrier in the country to offer Wi-Fi services on domestic flights.
The airline rolled out the service on both domestic and international flights on January 1, 2025.
It is available on Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9, and some Airbus A321neo aircraft.
It follows a pilot program on select international routes including to New York, London, Paris and Singapore.
Wi-Fi connectivity is free for an introductory period and passengers can connect multiple Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
The airline says it plans to gradually roll out connectivity across the fleet.
“Connectivity is now an integral part of modern travel. We are confident that our guests will appreciate having the option of connecting to the web and enjoy the new Air India experience,” said Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer.
Air India passengers can browse the web, use social media, work, and message family and friends within India.
