Airlines’ lucrative business travel revenues disappear
Airlines and industry analysts are in general agreement – the days of high yielding business travel revenues will likely never return to pre-pandemic levels. That will fuel a major rethink of route planning as many routes have only been viable because of the high proportion of business travel revenues.
It’s a major issue for the industry, given that the segment makes up 70% of industry sales, according to trade group Airlines for America.
