American Airlines extended flight suspensions to mainland China and Hong Kong, through late April.
It is once again citing weak demand as much of Greater China remains largely isolated from international markets.
Flights to Hong Kong and China from Los Angeles and Dallas Fort Worth are suspended until at least April 23.
The airline had originally suspended flights to Beijing and Shanghai until March 27.
"We will continue to evaluate this schedule and make any adjustments as necessary," American said in a statement.
It joins United Airlines which suspended flights to Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu until at least March 28, and Delta Air Lines which has stopped all China flights.
A still growing number of international airlines have scrapped services for the foreseeable future.
These include Air France, British Airways and KLM.
According to the Nikkei Asian Review, about two-thirds of all international flights by Chinese airlines have been suspended.
Regional air hub Singapore Changi Airport seems to be hardest hit with 85% of all routes to China now postponed.
