APH.com publishes Paris Olympics travel guide
With the Paris Olympics just around the corner, airport parking company APH.com has released a handy guide to where all the events will take place.
In fact, the Games are not just all about Paris.
Many events take place outside of Paris and even in the South Pacific.
Available at www.aph.com/parisolympics, the guide highlights which city and Olympic site will host events detailing the closest arrival airport in France, making it easy for travellers to plan ahead.
Just over half of the events will happen in central Paris including beach volleyball, with a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower
Popular sports such as basketball, athletics, road cycling and aquatics are also in the capital.
Most of the cycling events such as Mountain biking, BMX racing and track cycling will take place around 20 kilometres outside of Paris in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, located near Versailles.
Football fans have to travel to Marseille, Nice Lyon, St-Etienne, Bordeaux or Nantes to watch games.
For the sailing competition, visitors will have to head south to the port of Marseille.
However, surf fans have a much longer trip.
The surf competition is taking place on the Pacific island of Tahiti.
Nick Caunter, MD of Airport Parking and Hotels (APH.com), said, “With the Paris 2024 Olympics only a few weeks away, we hope the APH guide will help UK visitors plan ahead and make the necessary travel arrangements.”
