Atlas Travel acquires leisure agency Flagship Travel
Marlborough, Massachusetts based Atlas Travel has completed the acquisition of Flagship Travel.
A deal was quietly completed last month for Flagship Travel, which has served as a travel concierge service for more than 35 years for group and individual vacations.
The changing face of digital transformation in the industry and the need to stay competitive convinced Flagship President Joel Abramson to sell.
"I had a formula for evaluating potential companies to entrust Flagship Travel with. The organization needed to be family-run and people-focused, ideally a mid-sized organization that provided the personal attention to detail of a smaller company."
Over the coming weeks the two companies will work together to integrate and consolidate their services.
The agreement was finalized between Elaine Osgood, CEO of Atlas Travel & Technology Group and Abramson, and an orientation for Flagship’s team of agents has taken place
"We are excited to welcome this team of professionals into our ranks and expand our current vacation destination knowledge and extensive expertise," said Osgood.
Atlas Travel is a full-service travel management company offering corporate travel consolidation, vacation planning, and meetings and incentives services.
