A member of British Airways cabin crew who drank vodka shots on a flight to Singapore was found to be 10 times over the legal limit for working on an aircraft.

Uxbridge magistrates court heard that Patricia Casey, 51, from Camberley, Surrey, drank eight shots on the flight in February, the Times reported.

She was arrested at Heathrow after a passenger smelt alcohol on her breath.

Casey admitted performing an aviation function while impaired by drink.

She was fined £300 and ordered to pay costs.

The court heart she had been drinking while going through a divorce from her husband of 18 years.
