BA considers selling off Heathrow HQ
British Airways is mulling a sale of its Heathrow headquarters. A year of Covid restrictions has led to a major transition to home working, and bosses are pondering whether it needs so much office space in the future.
The Waterside office houses about 2,000 employees and cost about £200million to build. "We’ll want to consider what the ideal office layout for the future will be. Perhaps it’s less fixed desks and more casual meeting areas," said Stuart Kennedy, BA’s director of people. He says there is a growing interest from employees to have a ‘hybrid way of working when the crisis is over.’
