BA, Virgin mark US reopening with dual take-off
Long-time rivals British Airways and Virgin Atlantic will mark a ‘pivotal moment’ together and ‘set aside rivalry’ with a dual take-off this morning as leisure travel to the US officially resumes.
The airlines will take-off simultaneously to New York JFK from parallel runways. Shai Weiss, Virgin Atlantic’s chief executive says the US reopening takes it to 60% of capacity, while BA noted the ‘vital importance of the transatlantic corridor.’
