Bacon supply crunch on Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line is being forced to ration the rashers. The cruise line said it facing a bacon supply squeeze and will only offer bacon every other day across its fleet. It will be a temporary measure, it hopes, lasting about one week.
Hogs have been in short supply while processing plants and pig farms closed down due to the pandemic. The limited supply of pork has inevitably led to price increases. Carnival says the shortage only affects bacon and no other pork products.
