Bahamas Paradise ship reportedly sold for scrap
Cruise line Bahamas Paradise has reportedly sold one of its two ships, Grand Celebration, which is apparently en route to the world’s largest ship-breaking yard.
Grand Celebration has been sold for scrap and is on its way to Bhavnagar, India to be broken up.
The company has yet to officially confirm the sale.
The 1,500 guest ship was originally built as the Carnival Celebration in 1986, and sailed for the cruise giant for 20 years.
It also sailed for Ibero Cruises and Costa Cruises and was renamed Grand Celebration after a refit.
It leaves Grand Classica as the sole ship in the Bahamas Paradise fleet.
Before the pandemic Bahamas Paradise had been offering short round trip cruises to the Bahamas from Palm Beach, Florida on both ships
