Barbados puts UK on its ‘high risk’ Covid list
British visitors to Barbados will have to quarantine for up to seven days on arrival after the Caribbean island put the UK on its ‘high risk’ Covid list.
The new restrictions come into force from 1 October.
From 19 September it has been mandatory for travellers from the UK to show a negative PCR test on arrival into the country.
When the new rules come into force, UK visitors will still have to show a negative test result, taken within 72 hours before arrival, from a certified or accredited laboratory, but will also have to quarantine at a designated ‘holding hotel or approved villa’ at their own expense, or at a government facility free of charge.
After four or five days they will have to take another test.
