BCD TRAVEL STRENGTHENS UK & IRELAND SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
LONDON, 5 February 2008 – BCD Travel, the expert in corporate travel for a growing global workforce, announced today at the Business Travel Show 2008, London, that as part of its continued investment and focus within the region, Bepi Gaidoni has joined the company’s UK &
Ireland senior management team and has been appointed General Manager for its operations in Ireland. The appointment follows on from last summer’s acquisition of the global travel management company’s long-term strategic partner Tommy Tobin Travel Limited, the corporate travel arm of Joseph Barter & Sons Limited and a leading provider of corporate travel services within the Irish market.
Drawing on his extensive local market knowledge and industry expertise, Gaidoni will be responsible for driving and developing existing operations and client engagements within the Irish market. Based in Dublin, he will report directly to Michele Lawley, Managing Director, UK & Ireland for BCD Travel.
Gaidoni joins BCD Travel from his position as General Manager for Premair Marketing Services Ltd. – an airline sales agency with a 35m Euros turnover representing select global carriers within Ireland and Northern Ireland. Prior to this he spent over a decade as General Manager responsible for strategy, development and client relationship management with Co-operative Travel Ltd., an
established Dublin-based travel agency.
“With 20 years industry experience, the majority of which dedicated to the Irish market, Bepi is a natural fit to lead our next stage of growth in this important region,” said Lawley. “His experience, insight and proven track record for delivering value and innovation to customers reflects BCD Travel’s goals and will help both national and international corporations to further capitalise on our local expertise and global strength.”
Lawley added: “This appointment serves to reinforce BCD Travel’s reputation for investing in the key markets where our customers need us to be – providing excellent customer service and delivering progressive, integrated and comprehensive solutions for the bottom-line and the business traveller.”
BCD Travel simplifies and streamlines the corporate travel process, helping companies manage and control the movement of their people, information and resources.
