A first group of passengers has filed a class-action lawsuit against plane maker Boeing over a plane’s plug blow out last week.
It happened on an Alaska Airlines flight which had just taken off from Portland Oregon.
The suit was filed on behalf of six passengers.
The terrifying incident ‘physically injured some passengers and emotionally traumatized most if not all aboard,’ the lawsuit claims.
The flight was carrying 174 passengers and six crew members to Ontario, CA.
The door plug blew out just minutes after takeoff and had to immediately return to Portland.
Airport officials at the time said there were several passengers with minor injuries.
“The pressure change made ears bleed and combined with low oxygen, loud wind noise and traumatic stress made heads ache severely,” the suit states.
“Passengers were shocked, terrorized and confused, thrust into a waking nightmare.”
It said sheer force of the depressurization ripped the shirt off a boy who was luckily still wearing a seat belt.
Alaska Airlines hasn’t been named as a defendant in the lawsuit.
