Bomb threat at shopping mall near Johannesburg

The UK Foreign Office issued an alert on Wednesday in light of a bomb threat in a shopping mall near Johannesburg.

The Mall of Africa was evacuated by South African police but after a search nothing was found.

Visitors were told to avoid the area while the situation is ongoing and monitor local and social media for updates.

The FCO later withdrew the alert.
