Booking.com now selling cruise vacations
Booking.com is sailing into the retail cruise market.
It is now offering cruise bookings in collaboration with agency World Travel Holdings.
It will initially be available in the US.
It says its cruise booking portfolio will cover 30 cruise lines and over 10,000 sailings.
It is even offering a 110% Best Price Guarantee.
“Customers who find a lower price on another website within 48 hours of booking with Booking.com Cruises receive a 110% refund of the difference,” it says.
“It is important for us to meet and service this demand through our platform,” Ben Harrell, US MD at Booking.com, said of the US cruise market.
Customers who book a cruise on the site can avail up to $1,000 in shipboard credit.
The shipboard credit is doubled for cruise bookings made by November 29 as part of a Black Friday limited time offer.
Booking.com says it can also arrange shore excursions, transportation and pre- and post-cruise hotel stays.

Cruises were our last and most vital source of keeping client loyalty, as we all had superior knowledge of the lines, their policies, their destinations, and we always added travel agency perks. This is just another anti-travel agent policy---and no, we will not help the client when they screw up their direct booking---as invariably a lot of them do. That''s OUR company policy
