Budget upgrades with Amadeus - TravelMole

Budget upgrades with Amadeus

Tuesday, 09 Jul, 2004 0

Agents using Amadeus are being offered real-time access to car rental firm Budget’s reservation system.

The company has upgraded to Complete Access Plus with the GDS to allow the direct booking access to Budget’s Maestro system.

The move means that Budget now has a “seamless transparent interface” with all four major GDSs, the company said.

With direct access to the Budget Maestro database agents will have rates automatically calculated for them.

Budget’s EMEA sales and marketing director Jill Grinsted said the upgrade would enable the form to better serve travel agents.

“Productivity will improve as they will no longer need to calculate rates, as this will be done directly by Budget Maestro,” she said.
