Butlin’s resorts to re-open
All three Butlin’s resorts – Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness – are set to re-open on 24 July.
The decision comes after the lockdown restrictions were relaxed to allow pools to re-open and for outdoor live entertainment to commence.
The company will be building new outdoor stages and rehearsals have begun for ‘a summer festival of live music and dance’.
"There is also our open air circus arena to enjoy throughout the summer. And, if the weather isn’t on our side, we’ve turned our indoor venues into cinema style theatres to showcase a range of pre-recorded, exclusive entertainment from our most popular acts including Diversity and Rak-Su, the pantomime and Paddington," said a spokeswoman.
Guests booked onto a break from July 24 July to August 7 will receive an email shortly confirming information regarding their break.
"Those booked to visit us from August 7 shouldn’t worry, we will be in touch at a later date as we are dealing with all guests in arrival date order," said the spokeswoman.
"We know things will feel a little different, and we know many guests haven been looking forward to their breaks with us, so we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to ensure all guests have the best possible time with us this summer.
In the restaurants, buffets will be plated or boxed by the resort teams but guests can ‘still pile it high and come back for more’.
Screens will be in place to keep food fresh and safe.
