Cape Air to start seaplane service to Bimini

Scheduled seaplane services are coning to Bimini, Bahamas, with a new partnership agreed between Resorts World Bimini and Cape Air.
Flights begin on December 21, 2015 from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Bimini’s North Seaplane Base at Resorts World Bimini twice a ay.
This will increase to four daily flights from January 18, 2016.
"We are thrilled with these additions to our Caribbean route map and look forward to continued growth in the region," said Linda Markham, president of Cape Air.
"Cape Air is delighted to serve Florida and the Bahamas by providing additional transportation options that will benefit travelers and locals alike."
Cape Air is deploying nine-seater Cessna Caravan Amphibian turboprops on the route enabling landings on water or on dry land.
Cape Air currently operates more than 100 daily flights in the region to St. Thomas, St. Croix, Tortola, Vieques, Mayaguez, Culebra and Virgin Gorda.
