Carnival adds second ship in Cuba
Carnival Cruise Line is adding a second ship to the Cuba cruise market in 2019, launching four and five day cruises from Miami.
Carnival Sensation will join Carnival Paradise, which sails from Tampa, and will offer 17 new sailings out of PortMiami.
They feature a day-long call in Havana along with calls in Grand Turk, Grand Cayman, Nassau, and the private islands of Half Moon Cay and Princess Cays.
"Our inaugural cruises to Cuba aboard Carnival Paradise from Tampa were met with exceptional guest response and we’re thrilled to expand upon the program with our first Cuba cruises from Miami," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
"Cuba is a sought-after destination and we’re delighted to provide our guests with even more opportunities."
Carnival’s cruises to Cuba now offer a program of nearly 20 shore excursions.
The 2,052-passenger Carnival Sensation completed a major dry dock refurbishment last year adding a host of new dining outlets.
