Carnival Cruise Line has named the fourth of its five planned ‘portals’ at the upcoming Celebration Key private island destination.
Starfish Lagoon will be the family-friendly ‘portal’ with a variety of activities for all ages.
The Flash Flamingo and Mach III Marlin water slides, each measuring over 350 feet long, will take guests through the 10-storey high Suncastle.
The Guppy Grotto has been designed for small children and will offer a coral reef themed play area, a wading pool and more.
Additional activities will include the Game Pavilion, home to several table games, a Sports Court offering volleyball, basketball and pickleball, and floating AquaBanas – floating cabanas suitable for families.
Part of the beach will feature kayak and paddleboard rentals and space for games, as well as sun loungers and beachside cabanas.
The portal will also house a variety of dining and an adult swim-up bar.
“At Carnival, we carry more children than any other cruise line, so we’ve designed Starfish Lagoon specifically for family fun,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
Starfish Lagoon joins the Paradise Plaza welcome area, Calypso Lagoon adult-friendly area and Lokono Cove shopping village, as four of five planned ‘portals’.
The cruise line will share details about the adults-only private retreat soon.
Celebration Key, opening next year, will be on more than 500 cruise itineraries, by 18 Carnival ships sailing from nine US homeports.
Up to two Carnival ships will be able to dock at an adjacent cruise pier that allows guests direct access to the island.
