Cathay Pacific Airways expects to narrow first-half losses, thanks to cost-cutting and improved cargo revenues. However, losses are still ‘substantial’ says Ronald Lam, chief customer and commercial officer.
The airline lost HK$7.6 billion during the same period in 2021. It expects cash burn to fall to below HK$500 million a month. Cathay hopes to double the number of destinations it operates to by the end of the year. It also expects transit traffic to improve.
