The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has now given the go-ahead for vaccinated people to travel. That means a person is deemed protected two weeks after receiving the last recommended vaccine dose. The CDC still recommends people limit travel where possible, although it agrees with research that shows the ‘real-world’ effectiveness of Covid vaccinations.
Now vaccinated travelers no longer need to follow the CDC’s recommendations to get a Covid test before or after travel unless a specific destination requires it.
Masks are still required on public transportation such as aircraft and negative Covid tests are still required prior to boarding inbound international flights.
