Cebu Pacific carried 16.9 million last year
Philippines budget carrier Cebu Pacific announced it flew 16.9 million passengers in 2014, a 17% increase from 2013.
Although it fell just short of its target of 17 million, load factor was up to 84% for the year.
The airline also passed a milestone, carrying its 100 millionth passenger last month.
During last year, the airline added to a growing international network, with flights from Manila to Kuwait, Riyadh and Dammam.

The Philippines Civil Aeronautics Board has also given Cebu Pacific approval to start flights to Rome, taking over some of the 14 weekly slots to Italy assigned to flag carrier Philippines Airlines that are currently unused.
