Former British Airways head of digital Joe Sikorsky is joining travel price comparison website Cheapflights

He is to take the role of head of UK marketing from October 2, reporting to commercial director Rob Passmore.

Sikorsky headed BA’s digital channel strategy for the UK and also managed paid and organic search strategies.

He said: “Cheapflights has a history of innovation and in fact pioneered online flight price search and comparison. After ten years, it still leads this important segment of the online travel market. I very much look forward to working with the team at Cheapflights and welcome the opportunity of working within one of the UK’s travel dotcom successes.”
