Check out the travel industry’s best Movember Mos

Monday, 02 Dec, 2011 0

The Mos at TravelMole were pleased to hear that we weren't the only ones in the industry growing moustaches in aid of Movember.

The moustache growing charity month, which has now become a worldwide event, raises funds and awareness for men's health.

TravelMole's Graham McKenzie has managed to nurture a fine specimen and raised £135 at the TravelMole Travel Industry Question Time last night.

Editor-in-chief Bev Fearis has been sporting a tache of her own (naturally blonde of course) and hopes to add to the funds.

Here are just some of the others in the industry who also took part:

David Atkin – 18 weeks growth

David Atkin at ITC said "We've managed to get a cricket team this year! 11 gallant ITC Mo Bros (and a couple of extras) embarked on the journey… we all started shaving down this morning but are planning a 'Mo Down' party on Friday… we've raised almost £800 and counting! We have a team Mo Bro space on Movember and set up a Facebook page!

Atkin added: "We think Mike Taylor from product (pictured below) will win to company-wide vote, his is very impressive!"

Andrew Marshall getting a tache tan in the Caribbean

Andrew Marshall, head of product & sales Western and Oriental Travel Limited, said: "Here’s my ‘Mo’ which I'm pleased to say has gone today – feels great!!! I did raise £400 though so worth the effort.
Fear and Loathing in the Caribbean – this was taken last week at Buccament Bay in St Vincent."

Don Eric

Eric Freeman, financial accountant, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises & Azamara Club Cruises, said: "I have grown a moustache for Movember and thought I'd send it in. Excuse the hat!!"

A team from Canvas Holidays (pictured above) raised £600 for the Movember appeal, with 80% of the male staff taking up the tache challenge.

If you too have grown a moustache for Movember, send your picture to [email protected] and we'll add it to this story.

If you haven't, please give generously to the Movember fundraising campaign. It might be December, but it's not too late to donate.
