Child causes emergency landing on Indonesia flight
A child inadvertently caused an Indonesian domestic flight to make an emergency landing. The Citilink jet flying from Jakarta to Batam was forced to divert to Palembang’s Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport after the child dislodged the safety cover from an emergency exit door latch.
Taking no risks, the captain opted to divert
The child’s parents were questioned and required to make a statement but no charges have been filed yet.
