China Eastern to fly to Paris from Beijing’s new Daxing Airport
China Eastern Airlines will launch a daily nonstop service from Beijing’s new Daxing Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport starting in the spring.
It launches on March 29 this year and the airline will use new Airbus A350-900 on the route.
The A350 offers a four-class seat configuration including four first class seats.
The airline plans to shift most of its Beijing flights from Beijing Capital International Airport to the new starfish-shaped Daxing Airport during the first quarter of 2020.
Fellow Skyteam partner Delta recently announced it will also relocate services to the new airport to ease flight connections between the two carriers.
China Eastern also plans to increase flights between Shanghai Pudong and Paris later this year.
The carrier has an existing codeshare with Air France and KLM on routes from Paris to Shanghai, Kunming, Wuhan and Qingdao.
China Eastern bought a 10% stake in Air France-KLM in 2017.
