Choice Hotels International has added another Caribbean property to its boutique Ascend Hotel Collection.
The Hope Town Harbour Lodge in Abacos, Bahamas is the latest addition and features just 25 rooms.
It has two full-service restaurants and bars, a pool and cabanas,
Accommodations are in cottages or a separate three-bedroom ‘Butterfly House.’
"The Ascend Hotel Collection has given us the ability to expand our reach to a global scale, while allowing us to keep our local identity and historic island charm," said Earle Bethell, general manager of Hope Town Harbour Lodge.
The hotel is located on Elbow Cay in Abaco, which can only be accessed by boat.
Other Ascend Collection member hotels are situated in Curacao, Aruba, Puerto Rico and throughout the US.
Each Ascend member property is a ‘one-of-a-kind, upscale hotel’ to ‘feel like you’re part of the local scene,’ the company says.
