College starts holiday reps course

A course in how to become a holiday rep is to be run by a London college.

Lewisham College is to run the Holiday Resort Representative course from October.

All successful students will be guaranteed an interview with MyTravel on completion of the course.

City and Guilds training on customer services, selling skills and the role of the resort represetative are included in the course which aims to prepare students to be employed in resort by early summer 2007.

Students will be assessed throughout the course ontheir ability to work with customers and their understanding of the role, according to the college.

There are 18 places available on the course, the first one of its kind to be run by the college.
