Colorado’s Glenwood Hot Springs Resort unveils latest upgrades

Monday, 03 Feb, 2025 0

Impressive progress continues at one of the most iconic hot springs attractions, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort in Colorado.

Opened to great fanfare on July 4, 1888, the mountain property continues to deliver top-notch guest experiences.

The latest focus is on lodging, with a total refresh of all 107 guest rooms and suites at the Lodge at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort.

Guests can look forward to the upcoming addition of a new boutique hotel, Hotel 1888. The projects will be unveiled this spring and summer.

Updating the Lodge’s 107 guest rooms and suites began in early September 2024, and has been completed in phases.

It is scheduled to be completed in early March.

Rooms have been updated with premium cotton linens, artwork and a color scheme of gray, black, white and taupe.

New lighting and elegant bathroom finishes complete the luxurious look.

All lodge stays come with unlimited access to the hot springs pools during business hours and complimentary hot breakfast.

In tandem with the Lodge project, a portion of Glenwood Hot Springs Resort’s historic sandstone bathhouse is being transformed into Hotel 1888.

The poolside Hotel 1888 is slated to open this summer with 14 luxury guest rooms and two high-end suites that are ideal for couples and small groups of three or four travelers.

Stays at Hotel 1888 also include unlimited access to the hot springs pools and admittance to the resort’s Athletic Club. Booking for Hotel 1888 will open in March.

Both the Lodge guest room upgrades and introduction of Hotel 1888 are part of Glenwood Hot Springs Resort’s multiyear improvement plan.

The plan began with the introduction of Sopris Splash Zone in 2019, continued with the renovation of the Therapy Pool and all changing rooms in 2022.

It also recently opened Yampah Mineral Baths in May 2024.

The natural mineral hot springs water that has been rejuvenating mind, body and spirit for decades comes directly from the on-site Yampah Source Spring, which produces 3.5 million gallons a day.

The pools are open to day guests and overnight guests until 9 pm., with hours expanding to 8 am to 10 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
