Confusion over national park face mask policy
Vacationers and day trippers seeking wide open spaces in the country’s national parks have cited confusion over the mandatory wearing of face masks or lack of it. While a state may mandate the wearing of masks, that doesn’t necessarily extend to a national park within that state.
Lawmakers have cited ‘conflicting guidance between NPS-governed areas and localities.’ The National Park Service recommends the use of masks but doesn’t require it.
