Cosmos Tours has confirmed that Janet Parton has been appointed to the role of head of sales from early September.
She will be responsible for implementing the tour operator’s sales strategy for both Cosmos Tours & Cruises and Avalon Waterways.
Parton will also oversee relationships with agents and third party distributors to generate sales growth through the trade.
With 20 years’ experience in the travel industry, she has previously worked at Thomas Cook, Carnival UK and most recently at MSC Cruises where she was head of sales.
CEO Giles Hawke said: "Janet is highly respected in the UK travel trade and embodies the approach we take with our trade partners to be supportive, friendly and business focused."
He added: "As we look to broaden our product portfolio and develop our agency relationships, Janet will be instrumental in helping agents grow their touring and cruise business with us."
