Covid cases in Maldives resorts on the rise
Following a busy holiday period, Maldives resorts recorded over 500 positive cases of Covid-19 in the past week. Positive cases in resorts had been declining but have surged again with 80 cases in the last day.
Overall Maldives’ positive cases were nearly 200 daily during the New Year period. It comes as inbound tourism for 2021 increased over100% compared to 2020.
