CRS Code of Conduct must keep core protection
Senior aviation and business travel figures have appealed to the European commission to maintain the core protection within the CRS Code of Conduct.
During a meeting in Brussels with Transport and Energy Unit boss Olivier Onidi representatives from the Institute of Travel Management, Business Travel Coalition and International Airline Passengers Association also proposed removing global distribution system pricing rules and streamlining or eliminating the rest of the code.
The bodies also called on the Commission to maintain mandatory participation of airlines in all the GDS as well as the ban on screen bias.
ITM, BTC and IAPA representatives said the proposals received a positive response and are in line with the EU’s current thinking.
